the Stanza Vivere collection prints

based on the collection of original line paintings by Bethany Cochran

Stanza [stan-zuh]
Noun.
An arrangement of a certain number of lines, usually four or more, sometimes having a fixed length, meter, or rhyme scheme, forming a division of a poem.

Vivere [ˈvi.ve.re]
From Latin, meaning “to live, be alive”

//
I started working on this collection last year during quarantine. I wanted to create a collection that was a reflection and celebration of life and togetherness. Without having the use of color, I sought to incorporate vibrant imagery, movement and symbolism. I have never stretched myself to this extent with my line works, both with the stability of my human hand and bounds of my imagination.  You will find that the detail from the brushwork in the originals is captured in these prints. The ink rests on the paper like fresh paint waiting to dry in my studio.
