Bethany is a portrait and figure artist based in North Carolina. She is self-taught and fell in love with the arts at a young age growing up in Brooklyn, NY. She is recognized for her emotive color palettes, gestural brush strokes, yet realistic forms.
A collection of line figures, to be released October 25th (Oct. 24th for email subscribers). Sizes will range from 16x20" alcohol ink on paper to 22x30" acrylic paint on handmade 140lb paper.
This collection is an extension of the Spring 2019 Stanza collection, which emerged from an intensive time of study and reflection on my time as a dancer and the human form. For this collection I continue to have a focused interest in posture, movement and powerful pauses.
